Spin off from the how many shoes do you own thread....guess that might depend both on how many you buy and how many you throw out.

I have bought 4 pairs in the last 12 months
- new runners
- new winter boots
- new comfy sandals suitable for big pregnant lady
- fancy but still flat sandals suitable for pregnant lady on more dressy occasions

The last purchase is just because I haven't been able to wear heels since the start of the second trimester, not even for 5 minutes without getting a sore back.

I only have 3 pairs. One of them I bought this year, was runners, because my others had holes in them.

Before DS (September 2012) probably 10 pairs, if not more. What a goose!

About six pairs. I am not a shoe person but have dodgy feet and struggle to buy the right thing!

I've bought 5 pairs that I can recall in the last 6-12 months. Two pairs were cheapo target flats (2 pairs for $20) that have lasted suprisingly well.

A bargain pair of leather knee high boots for $30. One pair of more $150ish ankle boots and a mid range pair of wedges.

The boots will get lots of wear and last for years. The flats have lasted better than my expensive pairs, the wedges might be seasonal so I'm wearing them lots!

This year I bought a pair of ballet flats.

Last year I bought a pair of havies and a pair of heels. I was a bridesmaid, I haven't worn heels since.

So based on that I average 1.5 pair a year laugh.gif
