We're thinking of the name Flynn for our second child due in May. No thoughts on a middle name yet, but I'm after some feedback on Flynn. Does anything come to mind when you think of that name?
Thanks in advance for your replies. :-) |

It makes me think of Errol Flynn. And I don't like Errol Flynn. But I'd probably be fonder of Flynn if I didn't dislike Errol so much.
It does remind me of Finn/Finnian/Finnegan etc. which I like more. I also like Flint (seeing it as like Jasper or Ruby) but most people don't so I should probably show myself out. |

La di dah - when you say you don't like Errol Flynn do you mean you don't like name EF, or you don't like the man who was EF?

La di dah - when you say you don't like Errol Flynn do you mean you don't like name EF, or you don't like the man who was EF? I don't like the man Errol Flynn and it sorta taints it for me. I like Finn enough to freely admit I'd probably like Flynn too if I didn't have that association. (Though Flynn is a bit more surname-y and that's not really my thing). And I like Fox, so yeah. As far as the name Errol Flynn, I can't say I'd rush out to choose Errol. Flynn as a middle name, Errol Flynn SomethingElse, would be interesting, but I tend to like 1 syllable middles like that. |

Flynn would have been the name we would have chosen if DD was a boy. We didn't use it for DS2 as my eldest had a friend Flynn at the time and DH wouldn't use it at the time because of the association.
We are having no 4 and Flynn is one of our front runners if bub is a boy. So yes, I like it |
