I've just started toilet training with DS2. Its early days and we're just doing wees in the toilet around half an hour after he's had a drink.
This afternoon he is repeatedly taking his nappy off whilst in his cot - what can I do? He could easily wee/poo in the cot if I'm not in there. Help please! |

If it is a disposable nappy you can try putting it on backwards. I find that generally works to stop a toddler removing it, as once the tabs are at the back they can't open them up.

Thanks for your thoughts on him being ready.
I took him to the toilet and he did a wee straight away, so I've rewarded him by letting him wear undies rather than a nappy  happy days! |

If the toilet training is going well maybe it's time to move to a bed so he can take himself off to the toilet?

DS is 23 months and for the last few weeks has been pulling his nappy off in the day and in his cot. He has also done a wee on the toilet a few times. At the moment I leave the nappy on him until he has done a poo and then he is in jocks if we are home. I have also started using nappy pants for sleep times. When he has his nappy on he has to have his pants on, although that doesn't always stop him from trying to pull the nappy off!

To stop nappies coming off (if they arent TT) we tried putting them on backwards; putting clothes on them that they cant get into (onesies); pining their tops to their bottoms (at the back) and in extreme desperation - packing tape.
Good luck if he is trying to TT though
