In 2011 we upgraded from a Toyota Rav 4 to a Mazda Cx-9, as I was pregnant with DD2. We have found the CX-9 to be too big! It seems really wide in car parks and it's a struggle to get the girls out of the car when in a parking space.
The measurements on the Mazda website show it is very long and wide.........
So basically I need to make a list of cars we can look at that are slightly smaller but still an SUV.....
I'm trying to work out which cars are '' between' a Rav and a CX9.
We don't need a 7 seater.
Any opinions on good/not so good cars?
Thanks for your help!

We have a Kluger, it's pretty wide also - I'm very good at finding a park so that at least the driver can get in/out and I can slide my DD out the drivers side if necessary.

We have a CX-7 and love it! Not too big at all.

But, they don't make them anymore! They replaced them with the CX5 - is that an option? Not sure how it compares to the rav 4 though...

Nissan X-Trail or Dualis+2? Mitsubishi Outlander? CX5 should def be an option (although be careful about the diesels - at least ask about the oil use issue.

A Mazda CX-5. Get the diesel, not the petrol.

Love my Subaru Forester XT biggrin.gif

Not big at all, comfortably seats 5 or 4 with 2 big car seats in the back, is a dream to drive and park.

We just got a Mazda cx5 as we're expecting our second bub, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. Highly recommend. Fits two car seats fine - a third might be a bit tight but would be ok if it was a booster seat rather than a full carseat. Doesn't fell huge to drive, has a reversing camera and easy to park. Can't say enough good things about it (and no, I don't work for Mazda!) rolleyes.gif

Why do you need a SUV?

We have a Mazda6 with 3 kids. Great car, lots of boot space and roomy inside (can fit 3 tethered seats across the back) but standard sedan size.

If I were to get a SUV I would go with the Honda Odysee. It seems the most "car like" of them all.
