Well DH and I have been TTC for 2 cycles and I've had 2 chemical pregnancies

Has anyone had multiple chemicals and gone on to have a successful pregnancy? I could really use some positive stories right now.

I had two chemical pregnancies (with a few months in between I ';m pretty sure - it is hard to remember now). then I went on to have a baby. then 2 more.

Well I haven't, but it took me six months to conceive and takes lots of people lots longer, so at this stage I think it's really good to focus on the positives, you are so fertile, and you're getting onto it early - if the pattern continues then your GP will be able to refer you to further investigation rather than waiting ages and ages.

But it is very encouraging to know your partner's sperm is swimming and you are ovulating! I understand it's also frustrating and scary, but there is definitely lots that is great to focus on right now.

Thanks reesan. I'm sure you're right, I'm just a terrible worrier. I keep thinking, WTF is wrong with me, that I clearly can't stay pregnant

I had a chemical pregnancy last month & then got pregnant this month (not looking like it will head towards miscarriage).

One thing I found out from reading is that chemical pregnancies are probably much more common than we realize because now people test so early where as before they would have waited for a missed period/few days after a late period.

I know two people in my mothers group who had 2 chemicals & then a healthy pregnancy as well as others who had multiple later miscarriages & then a healthy pregnancy.

How early were your chemicals? Are you taking pregnancy vitamins (I think b vitamins are important).

The fact you can get pregnant easily is a great sign!

I'm not really sure what a chemical pregnancy is, but I got married in the Feb (2010) and was convinced I would have a honeymoon baby ... but it was not to be! I was soooo disappointed. I also had a very irregular cycle (up to 60 days) and so had no idea of what was going on, but after going to the Dr to talk about Clomid and other assistance she said she would give me a blood test "just to make sure I wasn't pg" and I was ....! I didn't find out until the end of June that I was 7 weeks ...

Since then I have had 2 lovely babies (don't ask me how #2 happened, I assumed since DS took at least 4 months, then we weren't at risk of falling again so soon ... turns out we were!!)

Tilly, my period started at 16dpo both times. My usual luteal phase is 12 days, so my period was 3 days late. It really freaked me out that both chemicals got to exactly the same dpo.

I've been on pre-preg vitamins for a year now, plus extra fish oil, B complex, B6 and evening primrose oil (before O). I've got an appointment to see my GP, although I don't think he'll want to refer me yet - I just want the chemicals recorded for the future, in case it keeps happening.

I have to ask.
Do you really know if you had a chemical pregnancy? Did you have the pregnancy confirmed? 16 day Luteal phase versus 13? I don't actually believe aGP will record a 3 day late period as a Chemical pregnancy without medical confirmation.
3 days difference. How do you know exactly when you ovulated. Considering an ovulation window can be 36 hrs. That's 36 hrs out of the 72 hrs you were late.

To me you are reading too much into believing that every period has a perfect timetable and if it doesn't adhere to it then you must have been pregnant.
You will mess your cycle up even more with stress if you are insisting on this sort of precision.
And truthfully I find it all a bit insulting to those who actually get confirmed pregnancies and sadly lose them at 7,8, 12 and so on weeks
