I am in very early stages of pregnancy, I'm guessing about 4 weeks. About a week ago I started getting very full boobs like when the milk comes in after having a baby. This lasted for a few days. I then started getting a headache that felt 'hormonal'. I went to bed and woke up with normal boobs (although heavy but not full) and I had a day of very light spotting (5 to 10 spots). Not enough to see it in underwear but after using the toilet. It was very bright as well as quite brown. This was accompanied by niggling stomach pains but not full blown stomach cramps which I normally get with my period. My period was about 5 days overdue at this stage.

I have had 3 positive (very dark lines) HPT and have not had a period as such. I should mention that we all had a wonderful Christmas filled with gastro, myself included.

Do the above symptoms, which have since stopped, mean I am not pregnant anymore? I assume if I was to take another HPT it wouldn't really tell me much as there would still be plenty of hormone floating around to give a positive result.

I really need a drink but am not really comfortable with drinking if I am pregnant. The doctor is closed until the 2nd and even then it is a huge wait.

Did your period start? I guess there's no harm in doing another test. I did 8 before I was satisfied I was actually positive. In saying that I had no pregnancy symptoms at 4 weeks at all when I tested - we had been trying and tested out of curiosity the day after I was officially late and it was positive.

Spotting at that stage can simply be implantation bleeding. If you haven't had AF I'd stick with the still pregnant assumption as the worst that can happen in that case is you miss having a couple of drinks. A pregnancy test might still tell you something, an early CP would usually see Hcg falling quite quickly as the levels wouldn't have climbed very high in your system yet. The symptoms comming & going doesn't really mean anything.

No period as yet which is the most obvious symptom which I keep overlooking while overanalysing all my other symptoms .

That's your safest bet! Don't worry about the other things - they may not be a true indication but if you are still late and testing positive that's a good sign!!

No period is really the most positive symptom at this early stage or pregnancy ( and a positive test, of course )
