Hi! We have family in uk. We are planning a trip to meet up in asia somewhere in 2014. Any recommendations?
Our kids will be 4 years old. Would be looking for somewhere roughly half way. Would be looking for somewhere we could do a few day trips with kids, but it's mainly chance for relatives to meet the kids. An good sites/apps for finding good airfares? Any places people recommend... Or accomodation? Activities? |

I would pick Singapore (but I love it there). You could even go to the new Legoland that is open in Malaysia (but close to Singapore). They also have a brilliant zoo (and night safari) and lots of other fun things.
It is easy to get around and safe. |

Another one to recommend Singapore for your 4 yos. Singapore is 8 hours from Sydney and 12 hours from the UK. Easy to get around by taxi and public transport (MRT/LRT) and everyone speaks English if this is a worry for you.
Universal Studios Sentosa / Sentosa Resorts World Marina Bay Sands (MBS) Night Safari River Safari (not sure if it is open yet) Jurong Bird Park Singapore Zoo Gardens by the Bay (new). The alternative is HK HK Disneyland (easy to get to by train from where ever you are staying or you can stay at either of the two disneyland hotel /resort). Ocean Park. HTH. |

I prefer HK to Singapore.
Does it need to be in a 'stopover' city? You may find it more relaxing to go to one of the Asian islands/ resort areas like Koh Samui, Langkawi, Boracay, Kota Kinabalu etc. They are often only an hour or two from a capital city but much more relaxing. |

Thanks for all the replies and ideas. It doesn't have to be hk or Singapore... Just thought logistically easier. Open to ideas!
We have twin boys who are action packed little guys, so just like somewhere to keep them amused ( and not annoy other people too much with our noisy kids!!) Like somewhere with good transport options for getting about... Any recommendations for family friendly accomodation/or resorts? |
