As per the title, does anyone know if there is a male version of the name Naomi?

Noam. As in Chomsky (can't think of any other famous Noams off the top of my head)

ETA: Ninja'd while googling!

I havent heard of Noam - Naomi is a biblical name - most (all?) girls' biblical names do not have male counterparts - eg Rebecca, Ruth, Mary, Esther etc.

Behind the Name gives no male equivalent of Naomi in its "Family Tree" function.

However, Noam and Naomi are both listed as being Hebrew names meaning "pleasantness" so it's probably as close as you're going to get.

Yeah, you do have the semantic link with Noam.

What about Nahum?

Nathan? It's not a male version at all, but have heard both Naomi and Nathan shortened to Nay.

Naoki is Japanese. Both it and Naomi are usually spelled with the same first character which means honest. But the 'nao' sound is a little different to English. Naoki is "nao" as in banana with "o" as in on, almost rhyming with cow. "ki" is just like key.

Yes, I'd say Noam as in Noam Chomsky
