My Big Parenting Fail, (stuffing up your kid's things)

DS had a certificate laying around, it was a congratulations on state selection for a national sporting event. It was slightly creased so I thought I would iron it, then laminate it, for him. But I didn't cover it with a tea towel, or even iron it upside down. Now he doesn't have a legible certificate at all. My feeble comment of "oh well, lucky you made it 2 years in a row...?" didn't help. Sorry son. What have you ruined for your kids?

Oh no! And you were trying to do the right thing! DS got one of those 'magic gardens' for Christmas, where it grows crystals and in the nd it looks like a Japanese garden. In attempting to move it out of harms way yesterday, one of the trees fell over and lost some of its leaves... Luckily it hadn't stopped growing, so there are no bald patches, but one tree definitely looks a lot shabbier than the other. he took it fairly well.

DD3.5 got her first watch for Christmas. She was REALLY chuffed with it (even thought it was just a cheapy) She was looking the other way and opening something else while DH set the time correctly. Unbeknownst to her he dropped it and it spilt into about 10 tiny pieces which he was then trying to pick up without her noticing. I was cracking up (but trying not to show it) We didn't manage to fix it - shame 'Santa' bought such cheap tat ;-)

Ohhhh no Mines not a parenting fail but an aunty/uncle fail. DH set fire to our nieces end of kindy 'everyone draw a picture of themselves and we'll print it on a tea towel for you' gift My fault it was in the linen cupboard with the other tea towels, his fault for setting the stove on fire. I still haven't told her 4 years later..........

If you make sure the crystals drop into the tray and add abit of water to it, they grow again.

DS got a mini car model from The Uk for Christmas. I think it was fairly pricey . As I was wrestling it out of the freaking wrapping I managed to rip both the mirrors off I don't think he has noticed though
