Hi, I usually make beef mince using the food processor. Sadly, my machine has packed it in and it's time for a replacement.
It occurred to me that there might be a better way to mince meat than this. What do you use? I've seen there is a mincing attachment for the kitchenaid...is this any good? Thanks! |

I use the KA attachment, I'm happy with it. If feeling lazy or wanting to mix veggies in so they can't be detected, I will throw the veggies through the mincer too.

Thermomix
Last year I had a choice between buying couple of KA machines and accessories or a TMX... I got a TMX and my sister got the KA stuff...she's currently selling her KA stuff and waiting for her TMX to arrive |

Wow. What a coincidence! I just bought my first meat mincer no more han 4 hours ago. I bought an old fashioned heavy metal one that screws temporarily onto the bench. I loved it! Was super easy to use and clean. I ground up my leftover roast beef and have turned it into spaghetti bol for dinner tonight. Turned out great and I didn't waste all that beef, like I did 2 weeks ago lol

KA hands down for mincing. I have a thermomix and it basically shreds the meat - imagine putting a chunk of meat in a blender, that's what I think the TM does to meat. KA mincer attachment is worth the investment.

Thanks for the replies...looks like a good excuse for me to finally buy a kitchenaid
Anyone else have a recommendation for mincing meat? |

You can get attachments for KA from amazon - much cheaper than here.

Are there any compatibility issues with the US attachments and an Aussie mixer?

hi
Matchbox has an offer where you get a free mincer when you buy a kitchen aid artisan range. Hope that helps. |
