After a thoroughly disappointing and stressful Christmas I'm hitting the beer. Anyone else as sad as me? Tounge1.gif

Ungrateful family can bite my fat butt. So much effort, so little gratitude. Bah, humbug, maybe this shoulda been a vent LOL

Con Sprezzatura.
Probably not as sad as you, but with my share of bah, humbug, definitely. And after braving the crowds at Chadstone today, exhausted too.

May have a drink later, but by all means feel free to vent now.

I had a vent that I deleted yesterday...

Basically it was my first year to host christmas...I wanted to have some of DH's traditions (who is american) along with my own. Let's just say that my massive effort of apricot and pork stuffed turkey, carrot casserole, and turkey gravy, went down like a lead balloon with my family. They had all their usual favourites too, but apparently it's too hard or gross to try something new. Upside is, DH declared it all better than his grandma's (which is where the recipes came from). Just bummed about the rudeness really. Everyone left straight away, when every year we always ALL hang around to help clean up.

So yeah, over my family right now. I know we were raised on "3 meat and veg" but jeez...

Ange - you are one brave lady to be hitting Chaddy!

Mareek - that is totally sucky sad.gif

I'm trying to push through the tiredness and bad mood by cleaning. So far no good.

Stronger than ever.
Oh Mareek that sucks.

We had a quiet CHristmas, just the five of us as we are in NSW and the rest of the family is in Vic and SA. I refuse to travel to them EVERY year, and they seem to be unwilling or unable to travel here. Not that I'm complaining, although my MIL is livable she drives me mad at Christmas.

Next year I'm thinking we might go on a cruise or something....
