Just got home from watching this movie with my daughter. Just wonderful, I wish I took tissues. I thoroughly enjoyed both Hugh Jack man's and Russell Crowe's performances.

I loved it too, but I'm a Les Mis fan from way back! DH and I saw the first session this morning.

There were some really bad reviews coming from overseas so I'm glad to hear you all liked it!

The son of a guy I worked for just missed out on a part but Cameron Mcintosh was so impressed with his audition he is heading over to London in January to take up a part in Les Mis the stage show.

Amazing. I just got home from seeing it. Anne Hathaway was just so good, she brought me to tears.

I wasn't completely over the moon with Russel Crowe but he was fine.

Hugh Jackman was brilliant brilliant brilliant.

I'm a Les Mis fan from way back too so I might be a bit biased. It's by far my favourite musical.

I hated it. It seemed to go on forever.........just when you thought there couldn't possibly be another song, there was another song. I normally love this genre but it was just too long.

Hugh Jackman & Anne Hathaway were brilliant but Russell Crowe - how he got that part I have no idea. AWFUL!!!!!

You are repressed, but you're remarkably dressed!
I was worried that I might get bored with three hours of it too after going with DH, a big Les Mis fan... I loved it! I thought it was beautiful, and Hugh Jackman was amazing! I also wish I'd taken tissues! original.gif

Honestly, I really liked it but I walked away feeling a disappointed at the same time. It didn't quite meet my expectations. They were quite possibly too high though because I've been waiting for this movie all my life!! My father is raving about it (another musicals tragic as am I) but I wouldn't rave about it.

Ms
Les Mis was fantastic - loved it !

Hugh Jackman is an acting genius as far as I'm concerned - he is incredible in this and well deserves the praise he has been getting.

Russell Crowe was good but I don't think he quite captured his character as well as Hugh did - but he has a better voice than I had anticipated.

I remember seeing the stage production when it was done here years ago and wasn't in love with the idea of it being done as a movie at first - but it was great !

After the finale the movie audience at the session I was at ( on boxing day) erupted in applause - which was a good indicator others enjoyed it as much as I did !!
