He is usually not a gift buyer or good at surprises so leading up to Christmas I had reminded him numerous times not to forget to buy me a gift & even some thoughts on what would be nice & where to get them from. I emphasized to him that I actually don't even care about the gift I would even just love a card with something nice written as long as he thought to do it. So I get home from hospital after having baby number 3 via CS a few days before Christmas & of course as Christmas gets closer I can't help but think about how he hasn't got me anything & how unappreciated I feel and blah blah blah feeling sorry for myself. So Christmas Eve he mopes around about how he got me something but left it t his sisters place. I call Bullsh*t. Then Christmas morning he apologizes for not getting me a gift again. I try not to get upset & tell him that nothing money could buy would make me happy anyway.Sooooo we get to Mums for brunch & he's being super nice & tells me to go & sit down & rest as I was feeling pretty sore. Then he goes and pulls out a bag with 3 pieces of jewellery. Matching diamond earrings, necklace & bracelet. I of course burst into tears. I'm so shocked & happy. He's so proud the he kept it a surprise & tells me how he organized it all etc I still can't believe it, he is not usually this thoughtful & it's just what I needed. I love that he even picked it out himself & got his sister to pay for it so I wouldn't know?So thank you Benni. I love you xx

Oh, it's sweet that he made the effort - sounds like a beautiful gift.

But honestly, men! Why did he make you wait? Why didn't he give it to you at home in the morning? The bugger, lol.
