I was reading in the Age today odd baby names for 2012 and came across this (well Leeloo - like in 5th Element). I suggested it to DP as a joke really but it's apparently a top 10 name in France (Lilou) and DP who is French loves it. I've become strangely obsessed with it as a name.
Would you dare use it? Am I being stupid to consider it? DD1 has a princessy long flowery name, so this is a total turnaround but I don't really care about 'matching'names. This post has been edited by whale-woman: 26/12/2012, 01:24 PM |

Is it with a long e or long i vowel sound? I think it would work if your daughter takes your dp's surname if it French. And I don't think it's that odd, there are many more out there that are more odd.

Nephew's best friend is Leelou. I hate that spelling, but quite like the sound of the name

Pronounced Lee-loo.
She'll have a hyphenated French-Anglo surname. |

I prefer Lila or Leila personally.
I also thought of Lilo's as mentioned above. |
