So, I'm currently wondering whether I should POAS, and thought I'd come in here and see what people think.

I'm try to delay testing as long as possible as I don't want to be disappointed.

Since the end of July, I've had a regular 30 day cycle, once was 28 days.
AF is currently 5 days late.

However, 2 years ago, my body did a similar thing. AF was late, then heavy, then my cycle went out the window and I bled everywhere for weeks on end. A d&c and clomid a couple of months later got me pregnant (and my son is now 9 months old).

I want to be pregnant, but am scared I'm not and it's menopause or a precursor to more trouble (I'm almost 40).

So, if you were me, when would you test? I have one FR in my bathroom cabinet.

I'd POAS but only because I can be a 'little' obsessive and wouldn't stop thinking about it otherwise. I'm pretty sure the consensus is to wait but I'm hopeless!
Best of luck!

Do you have an idea of when you ovulated? If it was over 14 days ago (which I'm guessing is highly likely, being 5 days late), then a test should be pretty accurate, so test to help you stop wondering (& us!!).

If it is possible you were late ovulating, maybe wait a few more days. AF is timed from ovulation date, not so much from when your last period started, so if you O'ed late, AF could be late because of that.

If you do test & it's not a BFP, then maybe wait a few more days & go see the doc to get checked out?

FX it is a BFP though!!! Let us know!!

I would test.

However the cycle after my chem was very long and instead of surging (prior to ovulation) on CD14 or CD15 I did not surge until CD18 blink.gif !!!! This was a huge first as I know my body and of course AF arrived 14 days after I O which was exactly 24 hours later.

5 days late can mean one of two things (a) you are pregnant (b) you surged and there Oed later than normal.

Well, the line is a bit light for my liking, but there is nothing faint about it. I'm somewhat overcome.

Nobody else knows, just the internet ohmy.gif

For once I wasn't imagining the early pregnancy symptoms lol.

Going to be a loooong wait for my partner to get home from work.

Hoping for a very uneventful next 35 weeks for all of us hands.gif
