What is the best thing that happened today?

What is the worst thing that happened today?

For me the best was spending time with the family.

Worst would be the cool weather - we had planned on taking dd to the beach to use her new surf board.

Worst was definitely the weather -- we had intended to spend it at the beach, but it was blustery and cold!

Best was having time together as a family -- just the four of us -- with a relaxed, low key Christmas Day. I have not one frayed nerve. original.gif

Merry Christmas to all who celebrate...and I hope that everyone has a safe, healthy, happy summer.

The best being with my little man sharing his joy and witnessing his extremely good manners.

The worst was having to leave the family at lunch time to get some sleep for a 10 hour night shift tonight.

The best was seeing my grandparents & aunts playing with my kids. DD was super cute & polite, and charmed them all.
DS was just a perfect baby & smiled and cooed for everyone, and had lots of cuddles.

Everything else went wonderfully though, everyone loved my desserts (even Nanna, who is the best cook ever!), I got heaps of compliments on my outfit, the kids were awesome, food was great - it was just a lovely day!

Worst was the weather here too, I'm so glad it wasn't as hot as the last few days, but it was quite chilly all of a sudden and I hadn't packed war, clothes for DH & myself!

Best was that everyone likes their presents, and our foster dog has settled right in.

Worst is that my stomach chose today to flare up badly. Owie, it really hurts.

Best - DD had a wonderful day and nobody fought.
Worst - missing my dad and wishing he could have had even just one Christmas with his granddaughter.

Best was the daydream I had of this ^ before arriving to family lunch at my Aunt's house.

Worst was the reality of DD being uninterested in anything excet the swimming pool ("I want to go swimming RIGHT NOW!") and DS screaming for an hour before lunch, then finally falling asleep and only waking right before we had to leave. Now we have to go and do it all over again for dinner with DP's family (and then AGAIN tomorrow for boxing day!) and I am too exhausted to even speak.

Try again next year I guess! sad.gif
