Only a ginger can call a ginger a ginger!
DD1 got a toy CD player from my aunt and uncle. It plays very tinny versions of nursery rhymes and despite the dolls house, books and puzzles, this CD player is by far the most popular gift. For about 30 minutes we thought the batteries had run flat (yay! I mean oh no!) but alas she had accidentally switched it off.

So what very annoying noisy present has someone given your kids today?

A music box that plays an incredibly annoying tune over and over. DD adores it and has been playing it ALL DAY LONG.

Some whistles with the bit that unrolls when you blow it (like at children's parties) and some whistle horn thingies. We gave them to her. She's loving them now that she's figured out how to blow them. The noise isn't annoying us too much but might be annoying our neighbours in our unit block and the ones next door!

We still have to give DD her main present of a portable DVD player with some DVDs. She's been too busy playing with her Santa presents that we haven't actually given her the presents from us yet. I think that she would have been overwhelmed. (She's almost 3yo.) The DVD player will be noisy and annoying but also a sanity saver. DH will be able to reclaim his laptop from her using it to watch DVDs on. Once she has it I'm sure that we will be subjected to listening to Giggle and Hoot over and over and over and over...

I can beat that - Two recorders. I have threatened to leave hem at the in-laws. Otherwise they might just get lost when we pack the car.

No loud pressies here it's been very peaceful in our house

BUT

the neighbours boys have been given a great pressie (not) we think its a ride on police car loud sirens with bells and whistles as all morning we've heard revving and sirens on and off and our yards are huge and far enough apart we usually don't hear their 4 young boys at all.

Luckly its all quiet ended down for the past hour or so
