I've always had good experiences with PoK, but apparently my luck ran out today. Ordered my mum's Christmas present a few weeks ago, and got it gift wrapped to save me the hassle.

She has unwrapped it this morning (it was her only pressie from me), and they've sent the wrong item!!! And they don't reopen until January 14.

Has anyone else had this happen, and how easy was it to organise getting the correct item sent? I feel really disappointed, though my mum says not to worry. I wouldn't bother changing it over except that its part of a set I was trying to complete.

I've had them send the wrong item, although it wasn't wrapped, and they were very easy to deal with. They called me back within an hour and let me keep the wrong item as well as sending my replacement the same day.

Awesome, thanks. Hopefully that's the case, as sending stuff back is a pain. They are expensive items (Wedgewood), however, so keeping them probably isn't likely. Long wait till they reopen though!

My only other option is doing a straight swap with a local store, given they are brand new and still in their boxes. Fortunately I know someone that has worked for Wedgewood.

I find peters of Kensington fantastic. I bought some champagne glasses just before Xmas. One didn't sit flat, it wobbled. They sent a replacement glass immediately and didnt ask me to return the faulty one.

Fingers crossed then! And I meant Waterford, not wedgewood.

Guess I'll just have to wait till they reopen then! Apparently I didn't have much luck with glasses this Christmas.

Thought I'd update. They reopened this week so I gave them a call. Have to organise to send the glasses back, which means I need to find/pay for packaging etc. Postage is reply paid though. Total pain in the butt.
