As per title, DD has had me up every half hour since 1am to roll her back onto her back.
She rolls onto her stomach and gets stuck, gets distressed and starts screaming. As we are away with extended family for Chrristmas, she is in a portacot in a new environment and I was tired and a wee bit stressed to start with... Any suggestions or just commiseration would be very welcome! |

No suggestions. I'm having a similar problem
With my 7 month old. He rolls onto his tummy and wakes himself up and needs to be resettled. I hope someone else can be more helpful. Merry Christmas |

Get a safe t sleep keeps them on back allows enough movement to get to side but can't get on tummy, both my kids slept fine with one, although there not for every baby.

Spend a bit of time in the day practicing rolling tummy to back.

Thanks all. Appreciate your replies.
She'll be doing 'rolling from front to back' drills today and will look into the safe t sleep thing. Unless using a nail gun to attach a sleep sack to the mattress so she can't roll over meets SIDS guidelines... |

It'll pass. Most people I talked to said this phase only lasted a week or two, and it was short lived for my daughter also.

I was looking for a magic wand to make her sleep through so I wasn't a tired and cranky PITA Christmas Day, but Santa didn't deliver that gift, sadly! |

Once she can roll onto her stomach herself it's no longer as much a SIDS risk. My paed said that's when you need to stop wrapping and use a sleeping bag if you haven't already. You can leave her on her belly to sleep - it is a phase and she will either stop or get used to it and be a belly sleeper.
When my DD started this it lasted about a week or so. I didn't always flip her over though - she would roll onto her belly when settling (I sat in the room so I could see her) and at first it was a bit different and I'd only flip her over if she was really distressed. After a few days she would settle on her belly and now rolls over as soon as I put her down to sleep. |
