Just wondering which slushie machines are good / which ones to steer clear.



I've heard a lot of the 'cheaper' ones aren't good, but don't really know where to start looking.



Any advice would be great. Thanks

I got one for DH. After a lot of stuffing around it went back and we got an ice cream maker. I would have been happy to buy a more expensive one but they were all around the same price and low quality.

I cant remeber the brand now but dd got one last year for xmas and it was dodgy, i think it was the target brand one. It would be so much easier to by the frosty mugs and use them

Slurples machine was so bad I reviewed it on Product Review.com


Took it back for refund as it was crap.
Also the main reason we bought it was so we could make cocktails And it doesn't work at all with booze - der - should have known that as alcohol typically does not freeze.
Plusses - ummmmm not much
Negatives - You needed a tonne of ice and rock salt to get the desired outcome and the book basically says it only really works will full sugar soft drinks!!! The results with diet drinks or juice are less than great. Also there was an issue with the lid not staying on. Basically the container would get iced over which would force it out of the turning mechanism which made it work. Once the lid popped off the coldness seemed to be compromised and it took even longer to get results

Why don't you get a powerful blender and just blend ice with fruit/soft drinks
