Can anyone share a really good icecream recipe for the thermomix? I'm thinking vanilla, but I'm open to ideas...

The vanilla in the EDC is really good. I doubled the recipe sort of- 600ml cream, 600ml milk, 5 eggs, 300g sugar, the seeds from one vanilla bean, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.

I froze it in a metal oven tray overnight, then left in on the bench until soft. I put half in the thermi and whizzed it up until it was as smooth as a smoothie when I looked through the lid hole. I then put it in an icecream container and did the second half. Put in freezer for a few hours. Everyone commented how good it was yesterday.

After Christmas I'll make the Forrero Rocher icecream because I always get too many of those as gifts. It's really good.

It's not icecream but I recommend these!! So yum. A full batch was too much for us though so I'll do half next. Make it when you see mangos at the fruit shop going cheap cause they are overripe!!

Oh I have heard of that Caramel Maple Ice Cream - I read about before I got the TMX, but then forgot about it. Thanks for reminding me, I've got it on the menu now for NYE!

And the Ferrero Rocher one looks pretty good - I'm actually not a huge fan of Ferrero Rocher, so it'll be a good way to use up those that I always get given at Christmas

I think I will make the EDC vanilla, just to go with the Christmas pudd. Yum.
