Our local supermarket (Woolworths) now has pumpkin which is already cut up into pieces. Has anyone tried it, does it taste any different to uncut pumpkin? I have visions of them doing something nasty to it to make it stay fresh.

i always buy cut pumpkin. i dont eat enough to buy a full one. i havent ever had any problems with it... if theres dry bits i just chop it off...

From my limited experience, I think the pumpkin is cut in store, then wrapped and put on the shelf, no extras added. Although I have to say I'm a little astounded your local Woolies has only just started selling cut pumpkin... :-) Are you possibly in a strange location, perhaps the 1960s?

Yes I did mean the ones cut into little chunks. Doesn't matter now as I have bought a quarter pumpkin which I will cut up myself.
