So this is my first month charting - I was really excited yesterday as three days of elevated temps suggested ovulation. But today it has fallen again - crosshairs disappeared and everything

I have PCOS - so I understand that my temps can be all over the place, could this explain my chart?
I am temping orally - the info that came with my BBT thermometer says I can temp orally or rectally - can I use this thermometer to temp vaginally?

You will get more accurate temps vaginally as orally can be affected by sleeping with your mouth open etc. also one temp drop doesn't mean you haven't ovulated it could be a second estrogen rise or you may not have ovulated yet but at least your body maybe trying to

Charting can be a bit frustrating Elipo - especially when you think you've got a 'result' then it changes again! PP is right - orally your temps can vary. But I'd say it's better not to switch to vag checking until the end of this cycle - a mid-way change can add even more confusion to things. Keep up the BD and wait and see what happens. Do you know how long your cycle typically lasts? Many women don't o until CD 20, 25 or even later so your O might just be a bit later than the "standard" 28 day cycle.

This is my second cycle post m/c. Before m/c I was a standard 27 days. Last cycle was 35 days.

Hi elippo What the others have said is all correct. I'd wait and see what happens over the next few days (I know waiting sucks) because your temps might rise again or they may not. Have you considered charting your CM and using OPKs to help? I find that helps give a better "big picture" so to speak
