Where to donate toys?

Not sure where to post this... but... yeah. I'm a massive hoarder, and I need to do a cleanup. I HATE wastage and find it easier to discard if it's going to a good home, rather than binning things. So clothes I have a couple of friends with younger kids, the rest goes in a big bag to Smith family (or similar bin) or freecycle. But... toys? I've got no idea. Is there a smith family equivalent? I don't want to have to list them individually on freecycle...

I just take them to salvos/vinnies. You can donate anything there, including furniture. I also give some to our daycare on occasion.

OP - you could call the local women's refuge number. They will either collect or organise to meet you somewhere, as the location is secret, and sadly - quite a few domestic violence incidents at Christmas time have women and children heading to shelters with not many possessions. Otherwise, put them all on the bed together, take a photo, and list on ebay or gumtree as a bundle of toys.

Some hospitals take them happily. PMH in Perth is not one of them. But Child care centres welcome them and Community kindergartens in WA are extremely grateful for them

Thanks for the ideas folks! Wow... so many worthy causes... I know this will sound weird but I will be so much more able to get rid of relatively 'good' stuff without stressing, if there is a good cause it's going to. And daycare - gosh I didn't even think of that!
