when do you buy food for xmas day

sanity is over-rated
what day do you buy food for xmas... part of me wants to just get it over and done with now but will it really be fresh enough by tuesday? i need to buy a chicken but that can be frozen, however i also need to buy fruit, some veggies and nibbles like kabana....

I was thinking about that too. I decided to go Sunday. Then i can relax xmas eve when family arrive

I did the last of mine today although I'm grabbing the berries tomorrow. I'm paranoid about things running out.

We are buying the bulk of it tonight and picking up the stuff that needs to be fresh and can't be frozen on Christmas Eve morning.

I have been wondering about this too. I need to buy strawberries and something tells me they will sell out on Christmas Eve. I need about 3 punnets. I also need to get eas stuff like baking aisle stuff that I know will be there.

I am buying my food on Monday morning. I intend to leave home at 7.30 am in the hope that it will be not so busy.

Ive bought all my non perishables, so on Monday i'll pick up my ham and Turkey from the butcher and then get the fruit and vegetables from Coles. Ive made my desserts and frozen them, as well as the gravy (Jamie Oliver's make-ahead gravy, yum). Tomorrow i'm going to make the stuffing and freeze it also. Over all I think i'm pretty organised, I have to be since I don't want stress on Christmas day (being 36 weeks preg and all). Merry Christmas everyone
