How would you spell Skylah? Skyla, Skylar, Skyler, Skylah??
What names could you suggest that are of a similar style? We're trying to find different but pretty names for girls. |

Definetly Skyler or Skylar.
I prefer it on a boy tbh. But for a girl I'd probably go with Skylar. Or just Skye. |

I am not fan of names with the AH added on the end - Taylah, Skylah etc. It makes it sound like people can't be bothered to say the name properly.

I have an 11 year old Skylah. I understand lots of people hate it (particularly those opposed to any names that were invented post 1898), but DD loves it. And I like it.

DS would've been Skylar if he was a girl (not too keen on the ah ending, so it was either the ar or er, but we decided on the ar as it looks a bit more feminine).
We chose this name because of its Dutch origins (albeit, spelt Schuyler - but I thought that would be too difficult for English speakers). |

I always read this name as Skylab. Anyone out there remember it? http://youtu.be/Fy1a6JHZJq8 Not a fan of Schuyler or any of its variations. |

It's really NMS, but I see it as a boys name more than a girls name.
