Stupid question, since I didn't have this when I was a kid, but when do you put the presents from Santa in the stockings or under the tree?
I've wrapped all mine, was going to put them in tonight. But Santa comes on Christmas eve right? So how does that work? Or am I thinking about this too much? I doubt DS1 will care when they're there, as long as they are! |

They go in the stocking after the kids are asleep on Christmas Eve. Ours go on the end of their bed, not under the tree.

We hide all the 'Santa' presents away in a cupboard. They are brought out on Christmas Eve once DD is well and truly asleep and only then are they put under the tree, in the stocking.

We always got ours at the end of our beds...so when we woke up Santa had been.... When older we had pillow cases, my DS has. Santa sack which is comes to his bed during the night...
Under the tree were relatives presents ....or when we came away to Sydney to visit the family I guess in motel rooms there wasn't a tree?? |

we always had the stockings at the end of the bed. Mum made them up and had a big glass of water before she went to bed and then she would put the stockings on our beds when she got up to pee. DS is one son doesn't care much but I still do a stocking for anyone staying at our house on christmas eve.

Under the tree is for pressies to other people in the family, and to each other.
Santa stuff appears on Christmas eve after the kids are asleep - they choose a place to leave their stocking in the lounge room, near the Christmas tree, where the drink and biscuits are left for Santa. I tend to keep 3 of the material shopping bags, in different colours, and they hold the stocking stuff and are hidden in my room. That way, once the girls are asleep, I can just transfer directly from one bag to the stocking. |

We only wrap presents from mum & dad & eachother, they go under the tree on Xmas Eve when I do the wrapping (after the kids are in bed). The presents from Santa (which are the majority) do not get wrapped, they are placed in pillowcases & set in front of the kids' doors during the night so they wake up to them on Xmas morning.

under the tree are the presents from dp and i for the kids and other family... santa stockings are empty til santa comes on xmas eve... those are hidden in the cupboard..
