There is a guy saying he is cop acting like a complete tosspot on a public Facebook community website. It's upsetting people, including people currently grieving. Does anyone know, if I print out this conversation, where I can take a complaint to, or even if it's something police would be interested in?

This is Vic Police.

I'm pretty sure the police don't look too fondly on jerks pretending to be police officers. I would take screen shots and maybe give crimestoppers or your local station a call? they may say they have bigger fish to fry but it's worth a shot original.gif

Take it and show it to his superior at his station...this way it will do a few things. First it will confirm if he is a cop or just a pork chop on a power trip. Second if he is he can be dealt with appropriately according to their policy regarding facebook. Third if he isn't a cop and it classifies as harassment of people then something might be able to be done.

Crap they just deleted the original post, so it's gone. I still have it open on my iPad, fb app, anyone have ideas on how to print it out? I'm pretty disgusted by this guy. And I have a horrid feeling he is a cop.

On your iPad hold down the top off on button and press the round menu button at the bottom at the same time, it will take a pic and save to your gallery

Ah crap now it's gone. Forget it. I am going to email him and tell him his behaviour is disgusting and I will report him if he does it again in future (while identifying himself as a cop).
