Stronger than ever.
Just because I'm a bit bored and could use some entertainment! What's your house cleaning style??

Y'know, you hear of messy hoarders and tidy chuckers and so on... I have realised that I am actually a messy chucker (that sounds kinda ew, lol). I am not much attached to objects and love to rehome stuff (prefer not to put working stuff in the bin, but prefer that to keeping it in the house if I have no use for it). But I like to keep things where I can 'see' them so that I'll actually use them. Which is weird.

I have brief phases of anal retentive behaviour where I scrub corners and order books alphabetically and sort my wardrobe by functionality.
Then I let the house deteriorate for a few months (but keep it basically clean and tidy), then have another manic episode.
The things is most likely to trigger an extreme clean / decluttering episode is going to my mother and sisters house - they are both hoarders and I come home feeling claustrophobic so just need to clear space.

I'm a bit like epg, I will have moments of sterile orderlyness but mostly my life descends into chaos.

I am all of the above.

An EB procrastinating cleaner.

Messy.

Have no trouble letting go of stuff except I like to let go of it respectfully (could never though out an item belonging to some-one else) and I need to let it go ethically which managed to turn a csimple process into a complciated one.

I either don't clean or I clean and organise obsessively.

I am the sort who when I see a mess I just turn around a little until I can't see it any more. If I can't see it I don't have to clean it. When I can do a full 360 turn and not find a pleasant outlook it's time to tidy at least 90 degrees worth.

I love to sort out and get rid of things! We seem to accumulate a lot of stuff, so it's always good to do a big cleanout of a wardrobe or bookshelf or desk. I recycle/donate wherever possible. It's also taught me over the years to just not buy or collect things in the first place unless they have a purpose (and yes, being beautiful and making my surroundings nicer is a reasonable purpose!).

I am similar to this - although it doesn't stay all that tidy between episodes!

I'm a tidier. I have way too much stuff so things get cluttered, and when it gets too much for me to handle I make nice neat piles and clear space and put some piles away in drawers or boxes until the clutter rebuilds and then I repeat.

Luckily for me DH is pretty good and dusts, vacuums, does the washing and even has a home made oven cleaner that he gets very excited about. I have recently found little cups full of bicarb around the place...bless him wub.gif

Cleaning does not come naturally to me
