So I went int work for acatch up and asked for an extra few months maternity leave - which was agreed to - phew and negotiated to go back part time (2 days in the office, one from home). They we re actually really good about my requests which was refreshing after some of the stories I've heard re employers and lots new projects so I'm guiltily a bit excited to go back although I love dd to bits.
So I'm looking for daycare for dd to start August 2013 for 3 days a week and we've been a little bit slack in visiting centres and searching the area, as I honestly thought I wouldn't want to go back. We live in Mont Albert North, I work in Port Melbourne, dh in Preston and he's quite flexible in being able to drop offs and pickups as well so we're looking for a shortlist of places to visit. PM's muchly appreciated of recommendations or even dis-recommendations. It'll have to be private daycare places - I rang the Whitehorse council and we've missed the boat on being able to get any places there and we're on the waitlist for the Port Phillip council but think that'll just be impractical with dd in the car for a 1.5 hr round trip depending on traffic when she could be playing/learning etc. Thanks heaps - EB hasn't steered me wrong yet! |

My son went to Treehouse in Elwood and it was fantastic - I see they now have a centre in Preston as well. I have no personal experience with the Preston centre, but if it is even half as good as the Elwood/St Kilda branch then it will be excellent.
