Make sure you ask for them to check your vitamin D levels and your immunity levels to Rubella. You may need a booster shot for rubella.

All the best :-)

I found it a pretty underwhelming appointment. They checked bloods to see immunity, Vitamin D levels, and blood type (I was unsure). Do you know what DH's blood type is? If he is positive and you are negative you need to get injections. Or it may be the other way around :S

Blood test to check for:
- blood type
- immunity to chicken pox, rubella
- Vitamin D levels

You may need to get a whooping cough vaccine and a pap smear if you aren't up-to-date with those.

They check that as standard in your early pregnancy blood tests so you don't need to really know before hand. It's only as issue if Mum is negative blood type that there are issues.

Not a GP question bit it's worth having a dental checkup in case you need any work or X-rays.
