We found out today we are having another little boy
DS is Edgar George. We like unusual, but traditional, names. No J or C names please, or names ending in S. Surname is long (5 syllables) and Greek. Our short list for DS was Edgar, Sidney and Henry (although Henry is too popular for our liking). This time I'm liking Harvey as well. Middle name will be a family name, either Lewis, Jacob, Harmen or Cornelis. WDYT? Any combinations jumping out at you? Any other first name suggestions? Thanks! |

I like Henry and Harvey both. Henry is rather popular but still classic IMO.
Ambrose I saw mentioned by the 7 Dwarfs, and I do like it very much. Other old-fashioned names I like: Gareth Tristan Kingsley Peregrine Alastair/Alasdair Lysander/Leander Hugh Leon Gideon, Gabriel |

I had Leo on my list for DS and DH vetoed it, I'd say the same would go for Leopold I like Henry and Harvey both. Henry is rather popular but still classic IMO. Other old-fashioned names I like: Gareth Tristan Kingsley Peregrine Alastair/Alasdair Lysander/Leander Hugh Leon Gideon, Gabriel I like Alastair, I'll suggest it to DH. I had Hugo on my list for DS and it was vetoed, not much hope for Hugh. Thanks, keep 'em coming! |

There'll be repeats here but here goes (your MN's seem like they fit most):
Sidney Cornelis Harvey Cornelis (but Cornelis ends in 's'. Ditto Lewis. Does that matter?) Alfred Eugene Gustav Gideon Ira Leroy Albert Humphrey Gilroy Herbert Clifford Mungo Montague Montgomery Wilfred Wilbur Wesley Warwick Roderick Duncan Stanley Harley Hubert Rupert Percy/Percival Roland Gilbert Desmond Frederick Eric Bernard Abraham Victor Vincent Leonard Douglas Dougal Bertrand Bartholomew/Bart Murray Ralph This post has been edited by Gudrun: 19/12/2012, 09:50 PM |

I love your DS name!! Sidney and Henry are also wonderful. You have great taste.
Winston Stellan Willem Desmond Hector Rupert Augustin Julien Quentin Vaughn Philip I think Rupert is fantastic with Edgar. Goes well with Harmen and Cornelis IMO. This post has been edited by emlis22: 20/12/2012, 08:16 AM |
