I bought my twins an Evorea tablet each from an online retailer. They were only cheap (I think around $120 including case and keyboard) but I figured as my girls are only 7 so they don;t need anything too technical.
The problem is, despite ordering them about 2 minths ago I only just received tham and one of them won't even switch on. These were supposed to be their christmas presents so now I'm stuck. When I push the power on button the screen lights up slightly (but is still dark blue) but I can't get the home screen/ android picture or anything else to show up. The other one works fine so I know what it should do...it just doesn't. I've been searching on line for a solution but all I've been able to find says to do a factiry reboot (which I can't if I can't get anything to show up on the screen) or to push and hold the power on button and volume down (or volume up) buttons together for anything from 5 secs to 2 mins. NOne of that works either. I've also tried swapping over the charging cord to the one from the tablet that works but that made no difference. Does anyone have any other suggestions? I know have no hope of getting a replacement/refund/repair before Christmas. |

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that sounds very much like a faulty device.
Best thing you can try, which by the sounds of it you have, is charge it continuously over night without touching it. Then press and hold Volume only for at least 10 seconds. To my mind it sounds like a faulty install of the operating system and it doesn't want to start, which unfortunately on less common devices is a hard thing to find information on to fix, and would potentially void your warranty anyway |
