We're on holidays in Victoria, staying out in the Yarra Valley with the in laws. It's beautiful.

Take the kids down to the park this afternoon. There were a few people there, including a bunch of hippies (no problems with hippies. Just using a word to describe the people we were sharing the park with). It was a gorgeous day today. Iz climbs up on the swing and I go behind it to give her a push and there's this stench. I think hmmm. That smells a lot like human poo. Can't be possible because there's a toilet over there. I look around, can't see any dog crap, but in the corner there is a mound of dirt, that looked like it had just been out there. Direct Iz away from the stink and then just get on with it.

This little girl comes I over. Probably around 2 or 3 years old. Quick chat and then she yells 'Ma I need to wee. Mum (one of the hippies) calls her over to near where the mound is, takes off her undies and gets the kid to squat.

Now I'm cool - sometimes you can't always find a loo. But there's one RIGHT THERE. I had a look - perfectly clean. So I'm guessing that the area near the fence is where all the kids had been crapping all afternoon.

I mean really. I'm all for an alternative lifestyle. But I just cannot understand the issue with a child using the toilet!!

ETA: non-issue but meant to put this in venting not WDYT. And haven't checked typos. Husband won't ask for wifi password so using phone. And suspect I will pay dearly for it. See later vent titles either 'Telstra' or 'stupid husband'

Here I was about to defend the "ferals" against an over-zealous clean freak and... well they turn out to be actual ferals. Bugger. laughing2.gif

That's really rank.
