Hi, I desperately need ideas for my Kris Kringle gift this year. I have to get something for a lady in the office in her late 50's who works in accounts. I can think of the obvious like chocolate etc but was trying to come up with something a bit different....any ideas most welcome ! original.gif
Oh, the limit is no less than $20 !
Thanks!

* Disco CDs. Chances are, she was a Dancing Queen back in the day. wink.gif If not, she probably has some friends who would get a big kick out of the tunes

* A big ass summer hat with a fun magazine to read by the pool

* Really cool pens (the kind of pens that make you say "HANDS OFF!" to your colleagues)

* A funky box or bag for carrying her lunch, with a handmade coupon for "One gourmet homemade lunch on a day when you are too tired to pack one"

* Something fun for her desk (a small gumball machine, lolly jar, cool stapler -- a conversation piece)

Can you do alcohol.

You could get a bucket of lime martini mix from kmart for $5, some cocktail glasses and a small 300-375ml bottle of tequila.

(never buy alcohol for someone you don't know if they drink though).

As my work we always (well, mostly) do gag gifts for KK.
My recipient has a fairly unique & loud laugh, so I am getting them a Laughing Bag (its a bag, you squeeze it and it laughs).

One guy gives a picture of himself in a frame pretty much every year.

Or you could always recruit a friend to scout for what they are into. I did that for a collegue - asked the person what they wanted for xmas. My collegue is getting them a toy version of what they wanted original.gif

I was in Aldi this week and they have those desk calendars where you tear off a page for each day. They had origami calendars and paper airplane calendars where each had different patterns for each day. I thought they'd make great KK presents.

They were $10 each so maybe alright teamed with chocolates or similar.

Something to do with tea from T2 or others I can't think of brand names. There's a Chinese one too and others... they do lovely boxes, tins etc. Otherwise a lovely soap in a tin, something from Crabtree and Evelyn. Or hand towel or facewashers or bread and butter plates (eg in Myer)...

Staionery from Kiki K, Squiggle or Typo..

Travel cup.
