So nearly a week over due date now. Probably happened about 4 times before, and I've not though too much about it, but bubs has been shuddering regularly since about 3 in the morning. Only lasts 1-2 seconds, just feels like a huge vibration in my stomach, and exactly like when I shudder myself. Now of course I'm starting to get worried it means something's wrong in there, and I'm wondering if it's something else besides a shudder.
Anyone else ever felt something similar? I've just never heard of babies shuddering in utero.... |

In the last couple of weeks I regularly felt DS "shudder" and he continued to do it for about 2 months after he was born - his one leg would shudder and his bottom lip would tremble too. Apparently it's quite common and due to an immature nervous systems.
Although given you're a week overdue and haven't felt it before perhaps just get it checked out. |

I've felt a 'vibration' or a shudder feeling every now and then. It feels weird doesn't it?

Rang the midwives and they weren't sure, so sheepishly rang the obstetrician, who said it was fine.... Random survey of a few mother's and no one else has had it, so at least I know why I hadn't heard of it before
