So I posted a while ago asking for help and ummm we are still undecided! Baby number 2 is due next month and we have our boys names which I love love love.
Patrick, Henry or Hugo and will most likely be Patrick as that is both of our favourites with the middle name Francis. For girls we have a list but I just don't love them like I love our boys names. Ivy - kind of going off Ivy? Eleanor Harriet - I love but DH hates Eloise Iris Isla Matilda - but we cant agree on a NN and again the middle name will be Frances We have a William Jack oh and that spelling is correct for the male and female version of Frances right? I read somewhere that it is Francis with an i for him and Frances with an e for her? |

Yes you're right it's Frances for girls and Francis for boys.
I'm fond of Francie as a NN for Frances for a girl if you wanted to use it up front. Matilda I like Tillie and Matty both, but I associate Matty more with Martha for my own weird family reasons. I like Tillie a lot - sometimes more than Matilda. I love Ivy a lot, I want to use it myself. But I like a number of little names like that, Ada and so on. I also like Iris a lot, but I like Ivy more I think. |

Eleanor is my favourite from your list.
Not a fan of Ivy, really. Iris Frances has a tricky rhythm which I don't really like. I usually prefer a different number of syllables or at least a different emphasis on the syllables, even though middle names are rarely used. Eloise, Harriet, Isla and Matilda are all nice. I think that Eleanor would go best with William too |

Definately Frances with an 'e' for a girl, a columnist in the Sunday Mail in Brisbane named Frances wrotea whole column a couple of weeks ago on how everyone spells her name incorrectly with an 'I' all the time and she mentioned thar 'e' is the girls spelling.
Matilda Frances and Isla Frances sound good. Harriet Fances doesn't flow very well. This post has been edited by Dylan's Mummy: 17/12/2012, 10:14 PM |

I love your boys' names too OP, especially Patrick. (We had William Jack on our list too).
I love Eleanor Frances, or Frances as a FN. I really like the NN Nell too. Good luck! |
