[Just Another Cat]

A pair of small birds have made a nest in our tree, very cute little black and white birds with yellow markings on their wings. A week ago the eggs started hatching. Yesterday DP went to take the dog for a walk and noticed the whole nest was on the ground. On closer inspection it looked as though they had been attacked, they looked like they had been pecked at or something. There is an Indian Myna nest across the road, so perhaps they were the culprits?

Three of the poor little things had survived the attack so DP put them back in their nest and placed the nest back in the tree. They sat there all day and overnight, but no sign of the parents

This morning I checked the nest and one of the three had died (it did look severely hurt in the attack). But the other two were fighting on. I just couldn't watch them die without trying to do something so I brought them inside.

They are really tiny, no more than a week old, mostly bear skin with a few bits of fluff. I've made them a little nest in a box and have a lamp over them for heat. I've been feeding them softened cat biscuits with tweezers. Not sure what else I can do for them, any suggestions would be appreciated.

is there a wildlife rescue place near you that would raise them?? poor little birdies
