My ipad is only about four weeks old and I have no sound. From what I have read and looked at it is not no mute. Can any body help please?

See if this works, hit the home button twice and scroll to the left, check to see whether its muted here or turned right down.

Thank Terri_mac I have tried that first, It also will not play youtube videos maybe I need to do a reset, I also am unsure how to do this and will I lose all my apps?
