in a spin off from the ways to restore humanity thread i thought i would challenge as many EB members as possible to perform a random act of kindness today and then come back and post about it here. Something as simple as smiling at a stranger to paying for the person in line behind you's coffee. Help someone with their trolley or what else can you come up with.

Put your thinking caps on and then let us know what you managed to do.

Just gave the ladies at our local fish and chip shop a $10 tip. But I'm not sure if that counts as I then sat down outside and watched her put it in one of the charity collection tins. Don't know if I'm heading out again today so hoping an opportunity supplies itself when I am out with my Christmas lights later..

Reporting back in biggrin.gif

Okay, mine is probably a little random. My XH came this afternoon to spend some time with DS. He also stayed for dinner - which he sometimes does on a Sunday afternoon. Today though I went to the special effort of making him garlic bread (his favourite). Neither DS nor I can eat it, so it was just for him.

I didn't get to go out today, so this was the best RAOK I could do happy.gif

My war paint is Sharpie ink
Not mine but I'm reporting someone elses because it made my day. I had 2 hours to do a lot of Christmas shopping without kids tagging along. I picked up many more things than I could carry comfortably without thinking through how I was going to manage once I got through the check out and had to leave my basket. A lovely lady saw me looking around for a trolley and came over to me. She asked if I was looking for a trolley and offered to go and find me one. Which she then did. I couldn't thank her enough.

I pulled out my road book and helped some lost individual find their way outside the zoo today. It's hard for my motives not to be selfish. I find my bread is always returned sevenfold.

I did this the other day, I bought the guy behind me a coffee and he thought I was hitting on him. Neither he or the barista could understand what I was trying to do.

RAOK fail! I will be trying again because I love the thought of it.
