Ok, so this is my problem. sad.gif

I have a Kobo, I wish to change my username on their website. I have called Kobo, after a lots of talking in circles with them, they finally understood that all I want to do is change my username, which is my email address.

After a total of 1.5 hrs on the phone and then numerous emails, they finally inform me that to change my username I have to also change my web browser from Internet Explorer to either Firefox or Google Chrome. I am unhappy about doing this, as I have only used IE and am comfortable with it. Kobo have told me that Kobo is not compatible with IE, and will NOT change my user name for me.

so my question is, can I install Google Chrome and run it at the same time as IE?

Thankyou

Yes you can. One will be your default program, the other not. Not many people use IE anymore due to viruses and bugs etc. Firefox is very close to IE in usability so if you swap to that you'd not notice much difference.

I run firefox and IE together at the same time, so I think you should be able to!

Yep, I run Firefox and chrome and IE is still there, it doesn't go away. When you download the additional browser, if you don't want to use it automatically make sure to untick the default option.

Chrome or firefox is much friendlier in today's www world, truly.

Yes. I have 4 browsers on my PC - Opera (the one I mainly use), Firefox, IE and Chrome.

There's the odd website Opera isn't compatible with so I use one of the others. No issues. I've even been logged into the same account on two different browsers at the same time. I've also been known to have all 4 browsers open simultaneously to compare how different some website layouts look depending on the browser you use!

You should be fine.

Oh, and I might even change my default browser, IE does have huge probs with loading pages.
