That was just beautiful. I loved them all but especially the Hurricane Sandy ones.

They really give you faith in fundamental goodness of humanity.

The parents of twins who handed out the gift bag on their flight would even get EBs tick of approval.

Really?

This sort of drivel restores faith in humanity?

You all mustn't have much faith in humanity to start off with. These are images of people doing the absolute bare minimum (except the parents of twins who shouldn't have to do that at all). Rich people buying present for kids? A doctor providing free medical services? All the absolute least I would expect.

Personally, I think the real heroes are the Bradley Manning's of the world and the Malala Yusufzai's of the world. The aid workers working in war zones, the starving parents walking hundreds of km to refugee camps to try and get their kids to some bare safety, and the ones risking their lives on a rickety boat so that their children can have a better future.

The real heroes are the underpaid teachers that bring up the next generation, the underpaid nurses who slave to take care of our elderly, the medical teams that leave their families to go on missions.

The ones really making a difference are those who spend $10 on Fair Trade chocolate and eat one bar a month instead of 5, the ones who buy Fair Trade coffee and drink less of that as well, the people who buy fewer clothes but make sure they are not made in sweatshops.

There's much in the world to inspire us... That gallery of crappy stock photos is pretty minimal standards though.
