They only eat chocolate without dairy in it. Dark chocolate is sometimes dairy free, sometimes not, so you need to check the label. The other two always contain dairy.

Yes. Milk chocolate contains dairy which comes from cows and white chocolate usually contains dairy solids.

Not just average dark chocolate, but dark dark chocolate. its got to be the 70% and over stuff, generally, if its going to be dairy free.

Yes. Vegans do not eat dairy food, so that would include milk chocolate and white chocolate. However some dark chocolate also contains milk, so you have to read the ingredients and make sure it is dairy free.

We sell a variety of Fairtrade chocolates at markets. Fortunately for us, the packaging says when it's vegan and/or gluten free and/or soy free etc. As PPs have said, no dairy. We have vegan chocolates that are 60% cocoa - but they are flavoured eg. orange, almond. We do have an 85% cocoa - soooo dark!

But anyway, these days, I would think most labels would say whether it's vegan or other dietary needs.

Any vegan who eats dairy milk chocolate (real dairy milk chocolate) or honey flavoured chocolate is not a true vegan.
