So, I,m a standard 14, 103cm bust 82cm waist 103cm hips. I,m a bit sick of what I usually buy (target mainly) and quite like some of the city chic stuff. I'm assuming because its styled for larger sizes that they might fit a bit better proportionally? But worried that their 14 is more a vanity size because the measurements seem much bigger than this of other 14s. Can anyone advise?

Definitely vanity sizing. Their 14 probably more of an 18, I'd say.

I am a 12-14/M-L in other stores and I buy their 14/XS and haven't had any issues

Vanity sizing - I have generally found that most plus size shops do this.

What annoys me about plus size clothing is not only is is larger but so much longer!

For this reason I totally avoid it.

I am not sure what type of cliental they are aiming for but it's certainly not short and fat!

City Chic are all over the shop when it comes to sizing. I am every where else a 22 BUT can't fit into any pants for City Chic except one pair where I'm for some random reason an 18. I have held up the exact same size jeans up against each other and there has been up to a 5cm difference between jeans. Tops also go on some random trip where I can be either a XS or XL depending on the top which is annoying.

I solved my problem by not shopping there anymore. I'm not so sure its vanity sizing or they have no FI when it comes to sizing.

Their website says for a size 14/XS they are 110cm Bust, 92cm waist & 122cm hips

This has been it for me too. There is some stuff which is too big but mostly there tops in xs fit me fine. Maybe it is the large boobs I have? But my wardrobe has plenty of non plus sizes that fit (is dotti, glasons, billabong, etc) unless all those stores doing vanity sizing as well?

I've just come from there having tried on a billion or so dresses.

I am normally a 16 - 18, and was fitting both the S and M sizes.

I am ave height, but I love City Chic because it is long. By the time it goes over my boobs and my belly, and long torso, I still don't have to show my love handles.

I think a vanity sizing but not too bad.
