Hi,
Just curious what the cheapest flight you have seen/bought to the US and what airline/time of year was it?

Just trying to get an idea of what is a good price.

Right now thanks to Kee~in~Hawaii I am thinking of booking the Jeststar flights to Hawaii next year !!!!

You're welcome! original.gif

I missed a Jetstar sale in August that was for March next year - 2 adults Sydney-Honolulu return for a total of $800! That's the cheapest I've ever seen - I can't even get to WA for $400 each! Previous to that my cheapest was $1200 return in 2010.

Cheapest ever, round trip DC to Adelaide for $1200. That was a flight in April 2007. It was Qantas/United.

Cheapest recently, Adelaide to San Francisco (then a long break with internal flights on a different Airline) then LA to Adelaide, $1400ish, in March/April of this year. Qantas/American.

We got Canberra- Melbourne - LA return for around $6000 for 2 adults and 2 kids. Which I thought was pretty good! Got them at the Flight Centre expo in Feb this year. We travelled in Sept this year.

Last year I saw flights from Perth to LA return for $1300 in March. Amazing price considering it was from Perth. I came very close to booking them. I also saw the same jetstar sale to Hawaii that a PP saw.

I was emailed a deal yesterday from flight centre that had the best price I've seen in awhile. It was for $990 flying melb to LA with virgin in Feb (i think only in Feb). But they also had other dates with a different airline as well....
Am going to suss it out shortly.

$900 return to New York in 2009 (Qantas). Have never seen it that cheap since. It was when we all got the $900 stimulus money so a lot of flights were put on special in the hope that people would use their money on flights. There were also $900 flights to LA advertised at the same time.
