Darker is better I think. I would avoid bright colours unless you have loooong, thin legs.

Yep, darker is better.
A slightly worn looking black can look great. BIG no from me to coloured jeans in skinny. |

Agree with PP. Pastel skinny jeans (especially in shades like aqua and if they're a thinner material) are hard to match with other things and not especially flattering.
I have a darkish, bright pink pair and they're great, although not for every occasion. I think red is good too. There are lots of different colours around at the moment but I think they will date quickly, like royal blue, etc. |

Apart from denim you mean?
Navy blue. Possibly tomato red if you have the legs and bum for them. White if you are Miranda Kerr. I think the other colours are going to be out so fast it's not worth considering them, not to mention they don't look very good on most people. I'm personally not a fan of black as I think they can look a bit...rough? Not sure how to describe them properly, but I think they only look good if they are paired with an extremely classy outfit. |

I think a dark bottle green looks nice. I have seen people in purple, bright blue and red, they looked fantastic! But as pp's have said, the ladies really had the figures for them *bristles with envy!*

I have the minty-green ones and as far as I know, they look good. They go with almost everything I own, but I don't tend to wear loud prints which might clash anyway. I also have some purple ones. I am quite tall.
I tend towards darker colours and skinny jeans. I'd go black and dark navy blue. Definitely not patterned ones unless you are 16. |

Definitely darker! I have two pairs - a black pair and a dark blue denim pair. Since my thighs are a little curvy at the top these darker colours are really flattering. I wear my black ones to death!
