We had our follow up appointment with our FS today.
He has put me on DHEA tablets.
Has anyone else been on these? What were the outcomes?
Thanks

Hi Lee,

I too have just started taking DHEA also on Monday. I am a poor responder and don't tend to have many eggs from each cycle. As you will see I also can't hold a BFP past 8 weeks so they are hoping that this with a variety of other things will help with a better quality from what they collect.

On our way back from FS appointment my DH was doing some research on it and seemed to think that if I didn't want to take it that he would - lol. Some of my research finds have been that a lot of girls find that they attribute thier BFP to it.
Bottoms up and I hope that it works for us!

PS: I have no side affects yet here's hoping it stays that way.

Hi there,

After 5 negative blast transfers, I saw the director at our clinic and he changed a few things for our next collection - he started me on DHEA and I had 6 growth hormone injections (Saizen), plus we used embryo glue instead of assisted hatching. The DHEA I started on CD 9 of the cycle prior to collection & continued it through until the final blood test. I was on 50mg - half morning & night. I didn't get any side effects at all really.

I wouldn't say that we ended up with a greater %age of blastocysts at the end of it all, but I am now 26 weeks pregnant from that cycle, so I have to presume that we ended up with better quality blasts than we did on our previous two collections.

Good luck & I really hope you have success soon.

Mrs K.
