weird feet

Ok!!! Until this year we lived in north Qld - so read thongs/sandals or runners for the gym. So this year (now in SE Qld and back at work) I have been wearing alot of ballet flats. Now that is it school hols and I am back in sandals I have al of a sudden noticed that where my ballet flats sit on the back of my heals (where you would get blisters but I don't get blisters) that it seems swollen or like the bone has hardened or something. Anyone else with this same weird problem? I hate it cause my feet are my best feature (I loooove my feet) and now I have these lumps on the back of both of them!

It sounds similar to what I have. Tendonitis on my heel, the Achilles tendon. It used to be very painful, but I changed to better shoes, etc. Saw a podiatrist, did some of the exercises and so on. I won't say I was extremely diligent, and I am back to wearing converse all stars currently! but it did help (as did moving house and no longer trekking up many hills each day!)
