Is it only me that hopes Thinn turns out to be a fat kid and Hippo is tiny?
I'm all for naming your child whatever makes you happy but some people really push those boundaries don't they? This post has been edited by BadCat: 13/12/2012, 02:38 PM |

Starlit, Orchid, and Tigerlily are outside my comfort zone but I can't actually hate them. Raised by hippies, I was. And they're spelled correctly, which apparently means more to me than it probably should.
I can think of actual names that are probably at about this level popularity and that sort of obscurity appeals to me more than never-used-as-names names, personally. This post has been edited by la di dah: 13/12/2012, 02:42 PM |

It's too easy to poke fun so I'm going to try to stick with positive(ish) comments.
Ace - It's used all the time for a boy, I see no reason why it's any strange for a girl. California - all sorts of other US state names are considered acceptable, and Cali makes a cute nickname. Deva - I actually don't mind this. Monalisa - a combination of 2 perfectly acceptable names, like Maryanne etc. Orchid - flower name, perfectly normal thing to do, pretty flower! Queenie - name that's been around for eons. Tigerlily - not that strange I'll be back when I've had time to look at the boys' names. |

Ace was a (female) companion on Dr Who. Is Burger a surname-used-as-first-name thing I wonder?
Back to the world of "boring" names for me! |
