Australia post just knocked on the door with a parcel. With all the Internet shopping I've done over Christmas I just assumed it was part of an amazon order DH and I did together for the kids.
I quickly took it into the garage away from the kids prying eyes and tore into it. It was only then I realized what it was ohmy.gif a GHD which I'm guessing was meant for me!! I feel terrible. The worst part is I've torn through the address label so I can't just tape it and pretend it didn't happen.

What would you do? How do I fess up. It was an honest mistake and I must say he has done very well this year, I've wanted a ghd for ages wink.gif

Fess up but sugar coat it! Say you tore into it but the second you realised it wasn't something you'd purchased you looked away! Or something similar!!

Same sort of thing happened to me 2 weeks ago (but the reverse). I splurged and bought DH an iPhone for Christmas. My name and address were on it but they gave it to DH to sign for. Right there on the label was 'mobile phone' rant.gif

He promises me he didn't look at the writing though!

I agree.

Dh was buying stuff from ebay for me and I finally after the 3rd item had to tell him I got all the ebay emails and couldn't pretend anymore I had no idea about it. He now has his own account.

Definitely confess, but try and convince him you didn't really see anything.

If it makes you feel any better, I heard about Nick Cave touring one day before tickets went on sale, and excitedly told DH. To which he responded "yeah, I know - it's your christmas present". Still exciting even though I found out before christmas wink.gif

Blame it on one of the kids? Hehe.

Nah I'd just be upfront with him and tell him the truth. It was a honest mistake. I'm sure he will understand.
